The Crunkleton

The Crunkleton opened in 2008 as a Chapel Hill pioneer in pre-Prohibition era cocktails, earning features in The New York Times and designation as one of the South's best bourbon bars by Garden & Gun magazine. Located on West Franklin Street, the bar showcases over 500 spirits, hand-carved ice made on-site, and a reserve cabinet of rare liquors within a library-style liquor wall. Expertly crafted cocktails combine choice spirits, fresh juices, and house-made infusions in drinks like the Manhattan and Sazerac prepared traditionally. The space features large leather furniture, warm wood décor, ambient lighting, and street-facing windows with outdoor seating, open daily 4 PM–2 AM.
