The Kazan Room

The Kazan Room is Kobe's first and only tiki bar, located on the 4th floor of the Elephant Building on Nakayamate Street in the historic Kitano neighborhood. Opened in November 2022, this volcano-inspired establishment brings authentic tiki culture and craft cocktails to Japan, one of only four tiki bars in the country. The decor seamlessly blends tiki iconography with traditional Japanese aesthetics, featuring volcanic-inspired flooring, exposed concrete walls, and faux jungle foliage. All cocktails are hand-crafted using fresh-pressed citrus, handmade syrups, and locally-sourced spirits, creating a unique tropical escape within Kobe's cultural landscape.
